Something I’ve Noticed About Grief
Grief begets grief.
Triggers it.
Watching someone grieve.
But also, it’s such an opportunity for vulnerability and connection.
To everyone who has reached out and said “me too”, thank you. I’m sorry for your loss.
Please talk about the people you’ve lost. Tell stories that make you laugh and cry and rage.
Ask others to share their memories. Write them down and then read them. Record them and then listen to them. Every single time someone has called, texted or messaged and shared a memory about my mom, I’m less scared that I’ll lose her more than I already have.
